Job Description

Our client is seeking an Operational Procurement & Logistics Manager to lead its Operational Procurement team based in Basel, Switzerland.

As the Operational Procurement & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for Operational Procurement activities within the head office, while acting as a deputy manager for four warehouses across Europe, managing the supply of a variety of goods internationally.

You will work closely with the Logistics team, Purchasing Managers and the Strategic Procurement team to ensure all Operational Procurement activities are achieved, and act as a point of escalation for Operational Supply Chain issues.

You will ensure that POs are raised and managed through the online system, and that suppliers and internal stakeholders are made aware of any operational changes that may require adjustments to orders.

This is an exciting opportunity for a junior Purchasing, Supply Chain or Logistics professional to gain experience with a multi-national company that offers amazing opportunities for future growth in any of these disciplines.

This opportunity will require someone with a strong Procurement or Supply Chain background and proven ability to cope in a fast-paced environment, managing inbound and outbound orders.

 

As Operational Procurement & Logistics Manager, we are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skillset:

  • Fluent English language and advanced German
  • Ideally degree educated (or equivalent)
  • 1+ year in a Procurement, Logistics or Supply Chain management role - this ideally will be within a multi-national company, overseeing both inbound and outbound goods
  • Natural ability to work within cross-functional teams, you must have strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of online order management, ERP or MRP systems is beneficial
  • Must have strong organizational skills, with a proven track record of meeting targets and deadlines
