EMEA Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with an exciting multinational business as they look to welcome a Senior Payroll Specialist to the team in Basel.
As the Senior Payroll Specialist, you will report directly into the Head of HR Switzerland and be responsible for providing timely and accurate payroll for the Swiss entity (circa 300 employees). You will also carry out monthly reconciliations in cooperation with the finance department, social insurance providers and pension funds.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsibility for payroll accounting in Switzerland
Administration of social insurance and be the main point of contact for all social insurance and payroll queries
Work alongside external vendors to ensure swift smooth development and implementation of changes to the payroll process
Preparation of the payroll-related annual financial statements in collaboration with the Finance function
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience working in internal Payroll
Strong knowledge of Social insurance and Labour Law
Fluent in English and strong knowledge of German
Technically strong with IT systems. Proficiency in Excel is a must and prior use of SAP is an advantage.
Independent mindset with a strong ability to show initiative in improving and optimising processes
