Chief Accountant

EMEA Recruitment is working with a well-established transportation and mobility solutions company. We are searching for a Chief Accountant to join the Copenhagen office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and driving process improvements. The role includes managing the preparation of financial statements, leading a team of accountants, and offering strategic financial insights to support decision-making.

Key responsibilities of the Chief Accountant:

• Lead financial accounting operations, ensuring accurate month-end and year-end processes, and compliance with local tax regulations
• Oversee the preparation and submission of financial statements according to local laws and international standards (IFRS)
• Manage and mentor a high-performing accounting team, focusing on professional development and team efficiency
• Coordinate audits and implement robust internal controls to protect company assets and ensure policy compliance

Your profile:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in a senior financial role within a global company, with a focus on financial reporting and compliance
• Strong understanding of Danish accounting and tax regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Proficiency in ERP systems, with advanced skills in Excel and financial analysis tools
