Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working exclusively with an international manufacturing business - with significant growth plans in the coming years – in its search for an HR Manager.

As the HR Manager, you will assist employees across two manufacturing sites in Germany, as well as a small number of field-based employees in Switzerland and Austria. 

Your primary base will be the site in Twist, but you’ll also need to travel to Westeregeln a couple of times a month.

The business also offers hybrid working.

The HQ for the organisation is in the Netherlands. Due to the proximity from Twist, there are good opportunities to move into a group role in the future.

Responsibilities of the HR Manager include:

  • Develop the strategic direction of the HR function
  • Lead a team of 4 ensuring the day-to-day implementation of all HR initiatives and policies
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand the business needs and translate these into HR solutions
  • Lead talent acquisition and development activities
  • Manage employee relations, working with the works councils
  • Ensure annual performance and salary review process is executed
  • Manage overall HR budget process (support annual budget process)
  • Drive operational excellence across HR and Payroll
  • Act as a change agent for employee engagement and continuous improvement programs

Experience required:

  • HR management experience gained in an industrial environment (manufacturing/logistics)
  • Strong knowledge of German labor law and payroll
  • Experience working with unions/works councils
  • Strong analytical and data handling skills
  • Resilience and strong leadership skills
  • Able to balance strategic planning and hands-on tasks
  • Fluent in English and German

    This role will assist the business in the start-up phase and day-to-day once the office is set up.
