Job Description

Our client, one of the fastest-growing logistics service providers in the world, is currently looking for a Cost Controller to join its team as soon as possible.

As Cost Controller, you will join a team of 5 individuals at their European HQ in The Hague, South Holland.

This is a great opportunity for a Cost Controller to join the organisation at the beginning of a huge transformation project, with growth potential in the role.

The role operates a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
  • Performing centralised cost control
  • Continuously improve logistic operations by providing effective support across business planning and analysis
  • Analysis of different kinds of data
  • Providing solutions to reduce the accrual from examination of the cost report after month end
  • Supporting revenue, financial risk and expense through accurate reporting and analysis
  • Ongoing process improvement projects and driving new projects
Relevant Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s or master\'s in Finance
  • Circa 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Logistics industry experience is beneficial
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Fluent in English – written and spoken

    Our client, a technically advanced and innovative organisation, is looking for a GL Accountant to join its team in Hoofddorp, Noord Holland.

    Your responsibilities as GL Accountant will include, but not limited to:
    • Carrying out frequent entries whilst independently taking care of accounts receivable and payable
    • Continuously overviewing the P&L – making corrections where needed
    • Intercompany balance sheet reconciliations, and maintenance of the balance sheet with the general ledger
    • Preparation or reports and overviews for the parent company, Controller and CFO

    Relevant Experience and Qualifications:
    • Bachelors or Master\'s in Finance/Economics or similar
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role, particularly with projects experience in an international environment
    • Solid all-round Accounting experience
    • Advanced Excel skills – a master!
    • Fluent in English (written and spoken) - Dutch language is also preferable; you must be a strong communicator
    • Experience with Exact (Synergy/Globe) is beneficial
