Job Description

We are working exclusively with a fast-growing, innovative scale-up in its search for a Production and Operations Planning Leader.

Our advanced electronics manufacturing client is experiencing rapid expansion and preparing for its next growth phase.

To support this momentum, they are seeking a Production and Operations Planning Leader to drive collaboration across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Commercial functions, positioning the company for sustained development.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to design and implement processes from the ground up, build a team, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize planning and scheduling.

Based in Rotterdam, this position reports directly to the COO and offers a pivotal role in shaping the company’s operational future.

Responsibilities of the Production and Operations Planning Leader will include:

  • Lead master planning and act as the main contact for Sales on customer allocations
  • Develop and maintain production schedules in alignment with production goals and deadlines
  • Manage capacity planning, identify potential bottlenecks, and recommend solutions to boost efficiency
  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock, minimizing excess and carrying costs
  • Coordinate production and material planning per schedules, incorporating customer and engineering changes
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize planning and scheduling
  • Monitor performance metrics to pinpoint improvement areas and apply corrective actions when necessary

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in operations planning
  • Experience in equipment manufacturing
  • Track record in setting up planning processes from scratch in a start-up or new division
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English
  • Strong problem solving and strategic thinking skills
