Job Description

Our client, a global FMCG business, seeks a French speaking Packaging Manager for its new R&D site in greater Lille.

With an understanding of consumer expectations and technical knowledge, you will develop sustainable and consumer-centric packaging solutions for both new and existing portfolio products.

This client is partnered with us on a retained and exclusive basis, to deliver a new team in a state-of-the-art R&D centre that focuses on superior innovation within luxury food products.

As Packaging Manager, you will work on the design, development and launch of exciting new packaging solutions. Managing a team of Packaging Engineers, you will oversee all regulatory requirements of packaging over a leading food portfolio.

This role would suit candidates keen to be part of best-in-class operations – there will be opportunity to progress both on site and into other portfolio brands.

Focussed on packaging excellence, our client has a strong pipeline of new projects around sustainability, and is seeking a dedicated and passionate leader with the following skills:

  • Degree in any field of Engineering, or a Chemistry/Material Sciences degree
  • At least 5 years working with packaging technologies, such as cardboard, printing, injection mould design
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D teams and packaging suppliers 
  • A deep understanding of regulation around safety, packaging technology and labelling for FMCG brands – previous experience working with a global brand is a strong advantage  
  • An understanding of sustainable packaging solutions
  • Management experience – either direct or indirect 
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Willingness to travel in Switzerland to partner sites, as well as abroad
