HR Business Partner

Job Description

Our global client, a market leader in the life science industry, is currently looking for an HR Business Partner to join its rapidly growing site in Cologne.

Reporting into the Senior Global Head HR, you will be responsible for providing a Human Resources partnership, focusing on the full employee life cycle, ensuring consistency across all the employees and managers.

HR Business Partner - Cologne, Germany (Onsite)

Through significant growth, our client is looking for someone who can coordinate processes, advise, coach and collaborate with employees across multiple populations, who has experience working with an entrepreneurial and fast-paced culture.

You will play a key role and provide progressive hands-on HR partnership and guidance for a population of c.120 people.

Responsibilities of the HR Business Partner:

• Act as a strategic HR business partner to the local issues and adding value to your customers
• Promote and execute global and regional HR initiatives within Germany
• Review career structures for developmental purposes (e.g. performance reviews, talent assessment, succession planning based on future potential)
• Talent acquisition and recruitment
• Execute all aspects of HR interactions - compensation, benefits, incentive drills, governance
• Ensure compliance with DE legislation

Person specification:

• Previous experience in an HRBP role or similar and able to operate at a strategic and operational level
• Bachelor’s/master’s in Human Resources or Business Administration
• Ability to leverage and motivate indirect colleagues 
• Strong knowledge of local labour laws
• Excellent project management skills
• Degree in Business and/or an HR-related topic
• Fluent in German and English is desirable
