Accountant - Accounts Payable

Job Description

We are working exclusively with a global manufacturing business, which is the innovation leader in its field. It is currently looking to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join its team in Freiburg, working closely with its sites in Europe and the US. 

The business is looking for someone who has a strong knowledge of the end-to-end purchase to pay (P2P) process, as you would be strongly involved in process improvements.

Accountant – Accounts Payable, Freiburg, Germany

As the Accounts Payable Accountant, your role will include:

• Checking incoming invoices for correct issuance and booking
• Preparation of sales tax returns
• Creation of payment lists and payment runs in SAP
• Master data maintenance
• Account reconciliation
• Participation in projects related to the optimization and automation of the P2P process
• Close cooperation with Purchasing and Controlling
• Participation in the monthly and annual financial statements

Skills required:

• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role, with good knowledge of the end-to-end P2P process
• Professional qualification in Accounting and Finance would be preferred
• Good knowledge of SAP
• A good level in both English and German (minimum B2 level in each language)
• Experience in an international environment would be preferred
