Country Accountant Germany

Job Description

Our client, a global manufacturer, is looking for a Country Accountant to join one of its manufacturing sites near Augsburg.

The company has recently gone through a large merger, significantly increasing the size of the business and cementing its position as the leader in its market.

The business is anticipating further growth at this location. As the Country Accountant, you will assist this growth and the post-merger integration by leading all financial accounting activities for the entities within the country.

As the Country Accountant, your role will include:

• Ensure compliance with relevant company policies and procedures, statutory, and fiscal requirements
• Prepare the yearly statutory annual accounts
• Maintain external audit relationships, and secure satisfactory internal and external audit opinions for the legal entities in scope
• Assist Tax with related corporate income tax calculation and quarterly tax reporting

Skills required:

• Degree or comparable training in Accounting with several years of relevant professional experience
• Fluency in German and English
• Excellent communication skills, a pro-active attitude and excellent analytical skills
• Good knowledge of Excel and SAP
