Job Description

Our global client, a market leader in its industry, is currently looking for a Head HR to join its Human Resources team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a strategic HR partnership, focusing on the employee lifecycle. This is a key position driving the strategic transformation of the HR function.

Head HR - Freiburg, Germany

Responsible for shaping the organisation’s future, driving transformation, bringing HR up to date, and being a strategic partner to the business, managers and employees.

Assisting with cultural engagement initiatives, this is an ideal opportunity for someone who is on their upward trajectory to be part of a global HR division.

Some key responsibilities for the Head HR:

  • Develop, lead and drive the transformation strategy
  • Partner with the senior leadership team on all aspects of HR
  • Identify and drive the communication and sharing of standard methodologies to facilitate continuous improvement
  • Implement new processes in partnership with HR to encourage managers to guide their people and encourage development through coaching and training initiatives
  • Manage an HR strategy and implement growth plans and workforce planning for future requirements
  • Supporting the delivery of the employee engagement plan
  • Ability to lead processes and encourage a culture where employees are retained and developed
  • You will be part of the HR leadership team, where you will drive growth plans with strong interactions with key stakeholders

The ideal Head HR will be:

  • A commercial, results-orientated HR leader with at least 10 years’ experience
  • Understanding of German labour laws, works councils and unions
  • A confident communicator with a pragmatic, motivated approach to influence stakeholders and drive change
