Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is excited to be working on a retained basis with a multi-national manufacturing company, which is looking for its next Human Resources Manager.

 

The HR Manager will report directly to the General Manager and have a functional report to the European HR Director.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the business, as you will be a key member of the senior management team, and make a direct impact to the company and its people.

 

Human Resources Manager- Exclusive, Berlin, Germany

 

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager include:

  • Organising and directing the administration of Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Monitoring the implementation of legal and regulatory obligations
  • Ensuring full compliance with all laws and nationwide agreements
  • Provide guidance on HR policies to the General Manager, functional managers and supervisors
  • Prepare annual HR budgets
  • Contribute to the execution of HR European strategies and agenda, and manage/participate in pan European projects
  • Ensure labour and social laws are adhered to, and proactively update local employment regulations
  • Prepare and facilitate regular meetings with the works council
  • Manage regulatory changes in labour law
  • Provide guidance in driving business strategies and support change initiatives
  • Facilitate organisational and cultural change, and the development of the organisation


Experience required:

  • University degree, preferably in HR Management
  • Minimum of 10 total years of experience in HR Management within Germany, with minimum 5 years in a leading HR role
  • Practical knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing (preferably Integrated Working System), including change implementation and management of change
  • Previous experience of HR management in a manufacturing environment, with different working schedules and work council management
  • Background knowledge in compensation and benefits, salary structures and incentive plans
  • Solid understanding of production KPIs
  • Very solid knowledge and understanding of German employment law, and industrial relations practices
  • Fluency in German and English
