Operational Excellence Manager

Job Description

Our global FMCG client is experiencing sustained growth and expansion. As such, it has identified a need to bring in a Operational Excellence Manager to help lead its multi-site, global lean programme.

As Operational Excellence Manager, you will be instrumental in guiding the global business to enhance global, multi-site lean improvements across long-term strategic growth projects, using strong analytical skills - crucially impacting the global production performances.

Operational Excellence Manager, Near Stuttgart, Germany

You will bring previous experience of working closely with operational sites, identifying improvements plans across Production, Sourcing, Logistics, Warehousing and Customer Service, and how to synchronise these across multiple sites.

With strong project management skills, you will bring proven leadership experience to build cross-functional relations, while utilising your strong lean ethos to drive KPI reviews, enhancements and training needs to elevate all internal customers.

As Operational Excellence Manager, we are looking for high calibre leaders with the following skillset:

• Educated to degree or equivalent level in Engineering, Business Administration or Mathematics
• A minimum of 7 years‘ experience in an FMCG style industry is a strong advantage, with a proven background in leadership and people management, exposure to Lean Six Sigma, TPM initiatives is a strong advantage - focused on improving multi-site OEE performances
• Strong analytical skills, proven experience of using data-driven projects to influence change
• Language skills - Fluent English is mandatory, with a strong command of German or French being advantageous, but not essential
• Experience with organisational change and development within a large matrix company, managing change programmes and teams through this, proven leadership and analytical skills, ideally having introduced digitalisation projects into the businesses - focused on KPI enhancements
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders effectively, willingness to travel (could be around 30%-50%)
