Job Description
My client, a successful global manufacturer, is seeking an ambitious Holdings Controller to join their team in Amsterdam. The Holdings Controller will report to the Global Director Financial Control and will have a dotted line to the CFO.
This position covers the accounting and external reporting for the Dutch Holding companies, the consolidation and reporting will be IFRS based.

Responsibilities of the Holdings Controller:
- Prepare statutory and consolidated financial statements
- General Ledger and sub ledgers – ensure full and timely recording of all journal entries
- Cash – align cash management duties with Group Treasurer. Processes payments
- VAT and payroll tax declaration
- Income Tax – assist tax consultant in preparation of income tax declaration
- Intercompany reconciliation – performs ME reconciliation between Holdings and BU’s
- Account analysis & balance sheet reconciliation
- Budgeting – prepare annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for Holdings
- Driving and leading external firms with audits and tax matters at Group level
- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately to ensure compliance with company Finance and Accounting policies, Dutch GAAP & IFRS
Education/experience required:
- Master’s degree in Administration, Accounting, or Economics. CPA or CMA level
- Good knowledge of IFRS standards
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting
- International experience working across cultures is required
- Strong teamwork skills, able to work with all levels in the organization
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to discern errors in complex or detailed work
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with an ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong experience in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERPs is required (Unit4 - Multiverse experience is a plus)
- Experience with Blackline is a plus
- Experienced in use of SmartView and HFM/EPM, incl. multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation
Languages:
Fluent English and Dutch (both written and spoken)
