AP Specialist

EMEA Recruitment is working with a consumer entertainment products company in the Leiden area in its search for an AP Specialist.

The role is to support vendors, consultants and employees with Accounting and payments, and resolve all payment issues.

The successful AP Specialist will be involved in making sure there is accuracy in entering vendor invoices, and deal with domestic and international wires with reliability and accuracy.

AP Specialist, Leiden, Zuid Holland, Netherlands

This a chance to share your knowledge in Accounting admin, as there will be a large scale of payable and receivable administrative tasks.

Responsibilities of the AP Specialist:

• Ensuring the correct VAT treatment and general ledger coding is processed with the right account payable voucher
• Reconciliation of aged AP reports to general ledger, and entering and preparing batch payments for banking systems
• Reconciling AP to general ledger, as well as bank statement processing
• Financial adjustments, accruals and tax filings support
• Support month-end closing
• Responding to invoice queries both internally and externally, as well as assisting with audits both internally and externally

Requirements:

• Fluency in English/Dutch (other EU languages advantageous)
• Good attention to detail and analytical
• Strong Excel knowledge (Axapta and Navision a plus)
• Min. 2 years’ experience in Accounting or Accounts Payable
• Knowledge in Accounting practices, GL and AP systems
• Good customer service and the ability to work without supervision
