EMEA Recruitment is working exclusively with our client, a multi-national logistics organisation, seeking to hire a Tax Manager to bring some of the outsourced Tax activities back in house.
This role offers you the opportunity to join an organisation that encourages new ways of working, while acting as key contact to the statutory auditors and internal stakeholders regarding Tax change.
Responsibilities of the Tax Manager
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:?€?
- Manage the US GAAP-based income tax accounting for all legal entities across Europe
- Preparation of the quarterly and annual US GAAP tax provision using applicable tax accounting technology, including ETR analysis
- Timely and accurate input of entries to the tax accounts in the general ledger system
- Contact for local Finance teams to seek technical guidance with respect to Accounting for Income Taxes (ASC740)
- Monitor corporate income tax and withholding tax payments, forecasting, and tracking
- Assist in tax calculations for the local GAAP financial statements, with a focus on Dutch GAAP
- Develop the internal control framework, with a focus on process improvements, risk management, SOX controls and data efficiency
- Develop and implement process automation via systems to increase efficiency and accuracy for reporting and monitoring purposes
- Manage regional Finance teams and external service providers for the filing of corporate income tax returns and related documentation
- Assist local teams for managing tax authority enquiries and audits
Experience required:
- A master’s degree in Taxation or related field
- 5+ years’ experience within corporate public/tax accounting international environment
- Knowledge of Tax accounting and compliance processes, including US GAAP
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience using consolidation tools, with a knowledge of Workday and/or OTP desirable
- Organized, detail oriented, flexible, comfortable working in a demanding environment
- Strong social skills to build strong working relationships across the organization
- Fluent in English (both verbally and in writing) - Dutch is desirable
