Credit Controller

Job Description

Our client, a global leader that covers the entire supply chain process from producer to end customer, is currently in search of a Credit Controller.

Based at its Rotterdam offices, this role offers you the opportunity to become an integrated support within the Credit Control team, and will enhance and develop your skills and expertise.

Responsibilities of the Credit Controller

You will be involved with the following tasks:

• Daily activity of the accounts receivable, including monitoring and collecting overdue receivables
• Leading role within change management/optimization projects
• Doubtful debt administration
• Maintaining internal relationships with operational departments in line with outstanding receivables
• Booking receipts and matching outstanding items
• Daily bank reconciliations
• Initiate and agree on netting proposals with customers
• Supporting various ad-hoc reporting on AR to Credit Control Manager
   

Experience required

• Degree in Financial Administration or relevant area
• Previous experience working within a similar role
• Accurate, good analytical skills
• IT literate in all MS Office programmes, with a sound knowledge of Excel, preferably with a knowledge of SAP
• Proactive person, with a strong drive for continuous improvement
• Curiosity and willingness to learn the company’s business
• Accurate, team player, strong sense of responsibility
• Fluent in English (both verbally and in writing), with a basic level in Dutch
