This is a unique opportunity to design and implement the entire Environmental Assessment methodology across the product portfolio.

Head of Product Sustainability Assessment – Exclusive, Basel, Switzerland/Hybrid

Key duties of the Head of Product Sustainability Assessment:

• Manage a direct team of three, as well as indirectly managing local specialists
• Represent the company’s sustainability commitments internally and externally with cross-body organisations, think tanks and universities
• Create future ways of working, building automated environmental accounting systems to fully assess all product carbon footprints

This is an opportunity to collaborate with commercial VPs, Heads of Production, BU heads and Supply Chain leadership teams.

As well as internal exposure, there will be the chance to represent the company at cross-sector organisations, think tanks, university collaborations and engage with start-ups to capture new technologies and innovations in sustainability.

We are ideally seeking a candidate who has previously implemented Carbon Accounting or Lifecycle Assessments into a manufacturing business.

Ideal candidate skills sought:

• Educational background in Engineering with a MSc in Environmental Engineering or a BSc in Environmental Engineering
• At least 8 years’ experience working in a complex Supply Chain or sourcing environment
• Proven influencing skills internally and externally, and previous experience providing support to senior management with sustainability
• The ability to interpret many streams of data and present statistics to senior management – ideally some knowledge of PowerBI, Python or Tableau
• Experience implementing LCA frameworks into production sites; concepts needed will be energy management, wastewater treatment thermal energy technology, waste treatment and recycling
