Senior Accountant

Job Description

EMEA are delighted to be supporting a highly successful, international B2C business in their search for a Senior Accountant as they embark on a period of major growth and development.

As the Senior Accountant, you’ll report into the Team Leader and the Head of Accounting.

Working within a team of 4, your responsibilities include General Ledger accounting and the preparation of financial statements and financial analysis.

Other duties of Senior Accountant will include:

• Responsibility for asset accounting and monitoring periodic capitalization of assets
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS 
• Preparation of annual financial statements
• Liaising with all operational units and functions within the finance department
• Monitoring intercompany relationships and posting internal cost allocations
• Preparation of VAT statements and reconciliations
• Inputting tax corrections and tax reductions
• Implementation and documentation of ICS controls
• Active participation in process optimization

Ideal candidate profile:

• Fluent German and English language skills
• Strong experience in General Ledger accounting and reporting in accordance with IFRS
• Knowledge of SAP is highly desired for this role
