Holding Company Accountant - Exclusive

Job Description

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join a private equity firm with a broad portfolio of global, manufacturing businesses, at its centrally located Luxembourg office.

Due to growth in its portfolio, in this newly created role, you will spend 50% of your time dedicated to supporting the Holding Company Accounting activities on one of the larger businesses in the portfolio, and the other 50% of the time working for other smaller and more recent acquisitions.

You will have the opportunity to work autonomously, reporting to the local Head of Office, as well the Head of Accounting for the portfolio business.

As a Holding Company Accountant, your role will include:

• Primary and secondary bookkeeping under IFRS and local GAAP
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Preparation of tax returns
• Treasury accounting
• Preparation of monthly general ledger, bookkeeping and reporting, monthly VAT declaration
• Liaising with Treasury, local and group auditors, external tax advisors, and corporate tax group
• Fixed asset accounting

Skills required:

• Ideally, a degree level qualification in Finance and Accounting or related subject
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role, in an international environment
• Basic Treasury experience would be desirable or an interest to develop in this area
• Fluency in English is essential - German and/or French would be desirable
• Takes initiative, self-motivation, reliability and flexibility
