Job Description

For one of our growing, international non-for-profit organisations based in Amsterdam, we are seeking an Accountant to provide end to end Accounting support for businesses and communities around the globe.

Working in a dynamic and rapidly expanding business, this is the unique opportunity for an Accountant to utilise and develop their skill set to business and communities in need.

This position will suit someone who is proactive, self-driven and has good social skills, with a strong technical mindset.

Hybrid working (three days in the office and two days from home) is available for this position.

The main duties of the Accountant are:

• Supporting and processing month end, quarter end and yearly end financial activities
• Support the senior accountant with bookkeeping and declarations of VAT
• Support the statutory audit, prepare statements under Dutch GAAP
• Conduct the Accounts payable administration and execution of specific payments

The skills required for the Accountant:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• 2-3 years’ experience in Accounting in an international environment
• Good knowledge of Dutch GAAP
• Strong presentation skills
• Proficient Excel skills
