We are currently recruiting for an Accounting and Finance Project Specialist to join their evolving Finance function, who will work as part of a small hands-on team with a broad exposure across the function.
This is a unique opportunity for a qualified accounting profile with at least 3 years’ experience either working in Big 4 looking to transition into their first role in industry or already in industry, who has a hands-on approach to support external reporting activities.
Your duties as Accounting and Finance Project Specialist will include although will not be limited to:
- Supporting and project managing Accounting and Finance projects
- Identifying process improvement opportunities, implementing new finance systems and enhancing finance governance
- Leading share-based compensation related processes, controls performance and reporting
- Coordinating annual and quarterly corporate income tax and compliance
- Supporting risk analysis and control design and implementation
- Performing technical accounting research and documenting conclusions and proper accounting treatment in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS
- Stakeholder management working with finance colleagues, delivering training, leading initiatives and acting as a key contact for external auditors
- Supporting ad hoc activities within the Finance function
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance and a recognized professional qualification RA, CA, ACCA, CPA (or equivalent)
- An audit background in the Big 4 would be preferred
- At least 3 years’ relevant work experience
- Fluent in English
- Experience working under IFRS and US GAAP in a SOX/PCAOB environment
- A keen eye for detail with good analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
- High level of honesty, integrity, commitment and responsibility
