Senior Staff Accountant

Job Description

Our global real estate client is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join their Accounting team in Amsterdam on a full time basis (40 hours per week).

The Senior Staff Accountant role will suit someone with 2-3 years’ experience with a solid, technical accounting foundation.

As the Senior Staff Accountant, you will join their team of 23 committed and high performing individuals.

Your responsibilities as the Senior Staff Accountant will include, but are not limited to:

• Monthly account reconciliations
• Complex accounting transactions as well as related journal entries and reports
• Review and analyse third party financial statements and journalise to company books and records
• Financial statement preparation in line with local GAAP or IFRS and related statutory audits
• Creating and managing ad hoc reporting requests from other departments
• Ongoing process improvement projects

Relevant Experience and Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience in Financial Accounting, preferably in an international environment
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Relevant education in Finance or Accounting ( ACCA, CA, BSc or MSc)
• Fluent in English – excellent verbal and written
• Self motivated and enthusiastic with a “can do” attitude
• Great time management to ensure deadlines are consistently met
• Flexibility required for busy quarters
