EMEA Recruitment is delighted to share our latest Finance Director vacancy, partnering exclusively with our global FMCG client.


In this position, you report to the global CFO in the US, as a key member of the European leadership team.


Finance Director - Amsterdam, Noord Holland, Netherlands


Our client has several international locations and is undergoing significant growth worldwide. It is rapidly expanding direct operations in Europe and is now looking for a Finance Director for its European business. 


This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic company, which has ambitious plans. The successful candidate will oversee the financial operations of the business and act as senior business partner to the management team.


Main duties of the Finance Director include:


  • Work with local country managers to establish the company’s European operations
  • Ensure robust cash management, including cash forecasting
  • Working with various stakeholders across the business to develop and enhance finance systems and processes to build the finance infrastructure to help the business scale
  • Ensure that accounting policies comply with relevant accounting standards and company policies - ensure the group is compliant with tax laws, in the various jurisdictions in which it operates
  • Manage the third party payroll, customs, tax and financial audit professionals
  • Meet all statutory filing requirements for existing and new legal entities in Europe
  • Assist and partner with the Global CFO and other executive management to deliver the company strategy and day-to-day management of the business
  • Prepare budgets, reports and other management information and analytics


Experience required:


  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience working in a senior finance role


  • A qualified Accountant (RA, RC, CPA, CA, CGMA, or equivalent)


  • Strong cash management, budgeting and forecasting skills


  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, multi-jurisdiction company


  • Excellent social skills, able to communicate with both financial and non-financial people


  • Organizational skills, sound judgment and strong attention to detail
