EMEA Recruitment is pleased to be working with our client in search for a Financial Controller.

Our client is a leading real estate business focused on commercial real estate investments in the Netherlands.

Financial Controller, Amsterdam, Noord Holland, Netherlands

Own the entire financial activities and compliance for numerous properties based in the Netherlands. This means being responsible for all centralised tasks that affect the portfolio.

Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:

• Ensuring accurate information is recorded by AP and AR departments
• Reviewing financial transactions recorded periodically
• Taking ownership, the financial activities, and understanding drivers for changes in income and cost
• Booking prepayments and accruals on a quarterly basis
• Booking IFRS adjustment
• Calculating and booking CIT expenses
• Analysing and explaining budget vs. actual
• Preparing reconciliation for balance sheet accounts
• Preparing quarterly reporting package according to IFRS
• Preparing cashflow reporting
• Preparing annual financial statements based on Dutch GAAP
• Supporting annual service charge settlements with the Service Charge team

Requirements:

• Min. bachelor’s degree and Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Fluent in English
• Excellent knowledge in Excel
• Min. 3-6 years’ experience
• Knowledge in Dutch GAAP and IFRS
• Big 4 experience
• Consolidation experience
• Real estate experience (advantageous)
• Experience with Yardi (advantageous)
• Strong communicative skills, proactive and self-starting
