Lead Accountant

EMEA Recruitment is working with an international market leader on a retained basis in its search for a Lead Accountant.

My client is looking for a Lead Accountant to bring a collaborative approach to compliance accounting.

As the Lead Accountant, you’ll be responsible for the accurate, complete and latest developments in technical accounting. The successful candidate will have experience with managing audit projects, internal/external audit framework and technical accounting.

Responsibilities of the Lead Accountant:

• Ownership of end-to-end technical accounting - IFRS16, R&D expenditure, monthly journals, reconciliation
• Driving statutory compliance - audit agenda, audit partner meetings
• Coordinating internal resources with regards to audit, ensuring data is accurate and delivered in a timely manner
• Support the collaboration across functions
• Provide ad-hoc requests, financial advice and counsel to CFO, internal controls and auditors

Ideal candidate:

• Qualified Accountant
• Bachelor’s degree in a Finance discipline
• Strong IFRS, local GAAP, internal control frameworks, accounting software
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Detail orientated with strong communication skills
• Managed audit projects
