We are partnering exclusively with our global FMCG client in its search for a Manager Accounting.
We are looking for a Dutch speaker, who has a passion for process optimization and technology. This opportunity gives you the chance to manage a large international team, as well as acting as the primary contact and liaison with external service providers and suppliers.
Manager Accounting – Exclusive, Amsterdam, Noord Holland, Netherlands

You will act as the primary point of contact for managers of cross-functional departments.
Responsibilities of the Manager Accounting role:
- Financial Accounting and reporting – participate in conducting monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and closing procedures to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Coach the team and oversee all daily operations
- Assure correct recording of asset, liabilities, revenue and expenses entries – review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
- Define accruals and provisions, and monitoring of these
- Ensure and monitor tax compliance on VAT, wage tax (Dutch) related matters and CIT, and coordinate with Tax Advisors, cash and treasury management
- Manage communications with external auditors on external financial statements and Accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on Accounting disclosures and issues, coordinate annual audit and quarterly review activities of external auditors, co-create the financial statements
Experience required:
- Bachelor’s or master's degree in Finance or CPA accreditation
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Accounting and Controlling - of which 3 in a manager role
- Excellent team building and management skills, and a proven track record in that area
- Sound knowledge around IFRS and Dutch GAAP
- Experience working with an ERP system like SAP (Oracle, JDE, etc.)
- Good communication skills in English and Dutch (written and verbal) - French is considered a plus
