Senior Payroll Specialist

EMEA Recruitment is working with an international internet publishing company, which is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist.

You will provide accurate processing and recording of the company’s payroll, and timely and accurate financial information within a global and dynamic environment.

Senior Payroll Specialist  - Amsterdam, Noord Holland, Netherlands

The Senior Payroll Specialist will report to the Regional Payroll Manage for NL

Responsibilities of the Senior Payroll Specialist include:

• Responsible for the maintenance and preparation of in-house payroll for all functions
• Initiate, plan, execute and checking of payroll processes 
• Provide advice and support on relevant Dutch legislation, company policy and SOX requirements, and ensure the compliance with relevant Dutch legislation
• Leading in payroll NL projects
• Provide support on and process cross-border payroll administration, equity administration and year-end/start activities
• Manage payroll workload and prepare monthly payroll reconciliations to meet operational requirements

Experience required:

• 5+ years of experience in Dutch payroll and Dutch legislation, preferably within an international environment
• Understanding of Dutch taxation and social security calculations of employer paid benefits and compensations
• Payroll education (VPS) is preferred
• An advanced level of Excel knowledge is required
• Able to advise on Dutch tax and labor law, related to employee benefits and compensations
• Up-to-date knowledge on wage tax, pension, social security and other employment laws/regulations (labor law)
• Experience working within a SOX environment and cross-border payroll matters
• Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders, such as other HR functions, employees and third parties
