Our client is fast growing global biopharmaceutical research company.

As Senior Accountant you will get the opportunity to immerse yourself within the department and be integral with the intercompany and GL Accounting functions.

Senior Accountant, Noord Holland, Netherlands

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Review intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Ensure timely settling of intercompany transactions between all entities
• Completion of intercompany responsibilities within the month-end close deadlines
• Support preparation of intercompany calculations
• Support reconciliation of foreign exchange impact of intercompany balances
• Provide continuous review of process for intercompany and identify enhancements
• Support preparation and audit of statutory filings for foreign entities
• Review and prepare foreign intercompany sales data for purposes of preparing VAT returns
• Work with FP&A and global teams to identify all costs that require allocation
• Bank reconciliation process for the affiliates
• Prepare and post journal entries in SAP for affiliates
• Support for the monthly closing process (US GAAP)
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the assigned entities

Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s Accounting qualification in Finance/Economics or relevant area
• Previous experience working within a similar Financial Accounting & Reporting role
• Sound knowledge of US GAAP reporting standards desirable
• Knowledge of Dutch tax and financial reporting an advantage
• ERP expertise (preferably SAP)
• Accurate, good analytical skills proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications
• Practical attitude, strong communication skills with a proactive demeanour
