Responsibilities of the Compliance Officer Third-Party Due Diligence (TPDD)

 

Work within the compliance department and become the subject matter expert for the Third-Party Due Diligence and management procedure.

 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Develop and roll-out global policies in the field of Third-Party Due Diligence
  • Provide training to the business and external intermediaries
  • Raise awareness regarding due diligence related matters
  • Create controls around adherence to policies
  • Responsible for training junior compliance officers and compliance assistants
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory developments as well as evolving best practices in the ABC field
  • Interacting with other Control function personnel, and the employees and management in all lines of the business
  • Performing (open source) research on counterparties/UBOs/directors
  • Conducting monitoring on intermediaries

 

Experience Required:

 

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar function (corporate compliance, investigations, due diligence, policy development, compliance monitoring)
  • A legal, auditing, or similar background
  • A good general knowledge and understanding of the commodities industry
  • Excellent knowledge of IT applications and the ability of integrating and developing the use of systems with compliance responsibilities
  • Accurate, team player, strong sense of responsibility
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn the company’s business
  • Fluent in English (both verbally and in writing)
