Job Description

My client, a fast-growing, global logistics company, is seeking an experienced Country Procurement Manager.


In this newly created position, you will work in a standalone role, responsible for managing the spend, assessing and reviewing suppliers, and be instrumental in creating new processes, procedures and policies.

The successful Country Procurement Manager should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate, with strong skills in building and maintaining internal and external stakeholder.

Duties of the Country Procurement Manager include:

  • Develop profitable purchasing strategies with the Purchasing Director
  • Assess supplier profiles and analyse offers
  • Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
  • Market research (industry trends and benchmarking and toolmaker mapping)
  • To organize, coordinate and follow up transportation of incoming and outgoing parts with the forwarder


Essential skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an international environment
  • Experience in Strategic Purchasing, as well as experience in negotiation and contract design
  • Strong team player with well-developed social and intercultural communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Must hold a valid work permit
