Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working exclusively with our global client as it looks to recruit an English-speaking Junior General Counsel, based in Barcelona, on a fixed term contract (6-12 months).

Reporting directly into the General Counsel, the Junior General Counsel will be responsible for several legal tasks on a global scope.

Responsibilities of the Junior General Counsel:

• You will oversee commercial governance topics for total of c.12 legal entities
• Plan, check and negotiate different agreements, such as NDAs and service agreements in EMEA and America, commercial agreements in Eastern Europe
• You will need to provide support with invoicing, including creating and modifying entries in SAP (purchase orders and purchase requests)
• Draft and give advice on execution of internal policies and standard operating practices
• Facilitate collaboration with external legal counsels and officials
• Provide support to internal projects of the legal division (e.g. implementation of new tools, design of tailored contract templates)
• The overseeing of global e-signature tool via DocuSign
• Maintaining corporate and contractual records in EMEA
• The recording of legal arrangements in the database

Profile:

• The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in Law
• At least 3-4 years of experience in a similar legal environment
• Be able to communicate confidently in English, and have excellent command of spoken and written language
• Knowledge of different EMEA countries’ legislation
