Accounting Director

Job Description

Our client, an international consumer goods company headquartered in Sweden, is currently looking to appoint an Accounting Director.

The Accounting Director will own responsibility for daily Accounting activities and financial reporting as well as the standardisation and improvement of Accounting processes across the organisation.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Director will include but will not be limited to:

• Ensure integrity and high quality of books and records to meet best-practice financial reporting
• Lead all aspects of IFRS reporting submissions
• Cash management
• Implementation of new Accounting standards
• Coordinate external and internal audits
• Execution of Compliance and Internal Control tasks
• Leading and mentoring the Accounting team

To fulfil the responsibilities of the role, it is envisaged that the candidate should have the following skill set and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline

• 10+ years of experience, based in Big 4 and in an in-house Accounting leadership role
• Experience in a multi-national company
• Experience in leading and motivating a small team
• Positive attitude and high level of energy
• Hands on approach
• Performance orientation
• Fluency in English
