My client, an innovative global chemical business, is seeking a Laboratory Leader – Formulation for its site based near Aargau.

Our client, a market leader within chemicals, seeks a Laboratory Leader – Formulation to manage a team that delivers exciting new molecules and technologies.

As Laboratory Leader – Formulation, you will develop and manage a team of experienced scientists, overseeing all people development. With a key aim of directing the lifecycle of active ingredient formulas, you will also ensure the company values of sustainability remain paramount.

Key projects will focus on new product strategy, ultimately shaping the R&D strategy of a global business. You will influence the wider teams in Chemical Process, Manufacturing, Scale-up and H&S.

Focussed on active ingredients, our client has a strong pipeline of new molecules and is seeking a dedicated and passionate leader with the following skills:

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or equivalent
• At least 7 years leading technical teams of scientists/chemical engineers
• A passion for people development
• Ability to organise multiple projects and assign effectively across the team, while providing technical leadership
• Good knowledge of formulation technologies, such as competitor mapping, formulation evaluation  
• Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D teams on innovation of new products
• Fluent in English
