Project Engineer - Packaging

My client, an innovative global chemical business, is seeking a Project Engineer – Packaging for their site based in Aargau. Our client, a market leader within chemicals, seeks a specialist over Fill and Pack development to global projects in their packing lines for production sites.

As Project Engineer – Packaging you will work on pioneering projects in fill and pack lines. Key projects will include installing new fill and pack lines, working with machinery suppliers and troubleshooting fill and pack problems in global sites.

This role would suit candidates keen to be part of best in class operations – there will be opportunity to lead changes over fill and pack as part of Smart Manufacturing programmes.

The Project Engineer – Packaging position involves travel to global sites to provide guidance to manufacturing managers.

Focused on Packaging Excellence, our client has a strong pipeline of new projects in this area, and is seeking a passionate expert with the following skills:

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Experience leading fill and pack projects either from the machinery supplier side or gained within a manufacturing business
• Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams
• A good understanding of fill and pack machinery – previous experience in line installation is necessary
• An understanding of automation in manufacturing
• Fluent in English, French would be a significant advantage
• Willingness to travel in Switzerland and to other countries (25% of the role is travel based)
