My client, a growing pharmaceutical business that is going through a period of expansion after securing new financial investment, is looking for an Interim Reporting and Accounting Specialist.

Initially for three months, but with potential for a permanent role, the company is looking to hire a qualified Accountant, with a key focus on statutory reporting and technical accounting topics.

The role will be based at its modern offices in the Basel area. Ideally, it is looking for someone who could start the role in early July.

Interim Reporting and Accounting Specialist - Exclusive, Basel, Switzerland

As an Interim Reporting and Accounting Specialist, your role will include:

• Preparation of SIX IFRS and local statutory reporting
• Preparation of technical accounting memos
• Liaison with external auditors
• Depending on skillset, may also be able to assist in other areas (e.g. tax disclosures, compliance and filings, data integrity checks with systems upgrade)

Requirements:

• Availability to start a role on short notice
• CPA/ACA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
• Background in audit from a professional accounting firm, preferably Big 4
• Fluency in English - German would also be beneficial
• Understanding of IFRS and Swiss code of obligations (US GAAP a bonus)
