My client, a fast-paced global manufacturing business headquartered in the Basel area, is urgently seeking two immediately available Interim Accountants for a 3 – 6-month period, ideally to start in January 2023. 

The business is hoping to close a major acquisition and following this the business will require additional support to complete the year-end close and initial integration of several entities, with a focus on the Swiss and German entities. 

This could be a great opportunity for someone who is immediately available and would like to gain some experience of post-merger integration.

Interim Accountant – Exclusive, Basel, Switzerland

Our client is looking for experienced Accountants who can quickly pick up the required tasks and run a year-end close. 

As an Interim Accountant your role will include:

• Responsible for Monthly Closing of the Swiss & German entities and year-end close
• Ensure accounting is compliant with IFRS
• Analyzing the accounts critically and correcting them accordingly
• Handover to BPO team after about 3 months

The ideal candidate:

• Prior experience with SAP is essential
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Good knowledge of IFRS would also be required

Language requirements:

Ideally, they are looking for someone with both English and German language skills; however, fluency in either language would be sufficient.

They offer hybrid working, but preferably they would need someone who is able to come to their offices a couple of times a week, so they can be well supported by the Internal Finance team.
