Job Description

Opportunity to join a leading business, in the life sciences sector, as an Internal Audit Manager as part of a fast track, high potential development programme for senior leadership within the company, either within Audit or in the business.

 

They are seeking a skilled and experienced Internal Audit Manager to become a part of their Basel based team.

 

By concentrating on risks and recommendations, you'll play a crucial role in directing and implementing Internal Audit assignments and consulting engagements within the group, guaranteeing efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness.

 

You will have broad experience across Audit, including an in-depth knowledge of SAP.

 

As an Internal Audit Manager, your role will include:

 

• Spearhead and execute Internal Audit projects and engagements, scrutinizing data and processes, pinpointing risks and control gaps, and offering recommendations for enhancements

• Communicate and document Audit activities in line with IIA Standards, making sure to provide timely updates and reporting to management

• Supervise, mentor, and train assigned auditors, offering feedback and collaborating with external specialists as necessary

• Report to the Head of Internal Audit, actively participating in the continuous improvement of Internal Audit procedures and fostering connections with key stakeholders

 

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

 

• Degree level qualification in Finance or related discipline; a chemistry degree is also welcome

• Experience in Internal/External Auditing within the manufacturing sector

  • Big 4 experience would also be highly desirable

• Active CIA (or CISA) certificate required, with a solid understanding of SAP and standard business processes

• Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) and IT fundamentals/general controls

• Robust analytical skills, goal-oriented, and deadline-driven, with outstanding communication and leadership abilities

• Fluent in English; willingness to travel (20-30%)
