My client, a large global business in the services sector, seeks a Category Manager (Food Products).

As a Category Manager (Food Products), you will be responsible for assisting supply of high-quality food produce across frozen, ambient, tinned and baked goods.

My client is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced food buyer to expand their horizons in a truly global role, strategically managing the supply of quality ingredients for multiple locations.

The successful candidate will have a passion for the food industry, and strong sourcing and supplier negotiation skills to secure large contracts.

We would welcome candidates from across the food supply chain, including account management and sales professionals with knowledge of market products and pricing.

We are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skillset:

• Ideally 3+ years within procurement or sales of food products at a national or international level
• Experience of dealing directly with suppliers or customers – confident in contract negotiation and supply & demand analysis
• Essential that you have sourced or sold high-quality finished food products or ingredients within Europe
• Fluent English is essential - other languages are beneficial
