My client, a large global business in the services sector, seeks a Category Manager (Meat & Seafood).

As a Category Manager (Meat & Seafood), you will be responsible for assisting supply of high-quality protein sources internationally. This will include a variety of high-quality raw meat and seafood products in fresh and frozen forms.

My client is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced food buyer to expand their horizons in a truly global role, strategically managing the supply of quality ingredients for multiple locations.

The successful candidate will have a passion for the food industry and strong negotiation skills to secure large contracts.

We would welcome candidates from across the food supply chain, including account management and sales professionals with knowledge of market products, pricing and seasonal trends.

We are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skillset:

• Ideally 3+ years within procurement or sales of food products at a national or international level, including fresh meat or seafood
• Experience of dealing directly with suppliers or customers – confident in contract negotiation and supply & demand analysis
• Essential that you have strong knowledge of various cuts of meat and that you are able to understand market trends – in particular, you may have dealt with tracking new products to market and/or the seasonality of the seafood market
• Fluent English is essential - other languages are beneficial
