EMEA Recruitment is proud to be partnered exclusively with a global manufacturing business in its search for a Chemical Process Engineer – Sustainability
The company is building a new team in Switzerland to oversee all LCA (life cycle assessment) and product sustainability assessment.
This is a unique opportunity to join a newly formed team and create more sustainable manufacturing processes.
Key duties of the Chemical Process Engineer - Sustainability:
- Work on projects to improve the sustainability of chemical processes
- Network internally and externally with cross-body organisations, think tanks and universities to bring in technologies in environmental assessment to improve manufacturing sustainability
- Work with Product Development and Pilot Plant teams to improve the sustainability of chemical processes, for example, supporting the preparation for pilot plant scale trials and supervision of pilot plant trials
- Perform assessments of product sustainability for creation of LCAs – including collecting data from manufacturing sites
- Suggest improvements to chemical processes in areas such as recycling, energy reduction and waste reduction

Ideal skills sought:
- Educational background in Engineering with an MSc in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering or related subject
- At least one year of work experience within a chemical company
- Concepts needed will be energy management, wastewater treatment, thermal energy technology or chemical waste treatment
- Experience implementing LCA frameworks or environmental frameworks into production sites is an advantage
