We are currently searching for an experienced German-Speaking Procurement Manager – BPO to join our client’s team in Basel, Switzerland.

 

German-Speaking Procurement Manager – BPO - Basel, Switzerland

 

This is a permanent position in a flagship Indirect Procurement department of a leading, internationally recognised company.

 

Operating within the business services sector, you will be responsible for Procurement activities within the Indirect space, with a particular focus on business process outsourcing (BPO).

 

You will assist the Head of Procurement in their strategic approach to the overall business objectives. You will have full control over a number of BPO categories, managing outsourced providers directly with the assistance of a Junior Internal Buyer/Analyst.

 

You will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to set and control purchasing strategy.

 

By bringing previous relevant Category Management expertise, you will be adept at dealing with different stakeholders in a complex matrix environment. It would be ideal if you have experience of complex outsourced categories, such as Marketing, HR or IT.

 

As the German-Speaking Procurement Manager – BPO,  you will join a very busy and growing organisation at the beginning of a large transformation within its Internal Procurement function.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of strategic purchasing, and have previously conducted negotiations and supplier search activity within Indirect/Services Procurement.

 

The role will also hold the remit to contribute to the development and optimisation of the Procurement function within a transformational phase.

 

This role will suit a dynamic and adaptable mindset, who can truly develop the Indirect Purchasing function to set, source and deliver successful business process outsourcing and Indirect Procurement strategy. Someone who is interested in mentoring or shaping a new team would really suit this environment.

We are looking for a high calibre German-Speaking Procurement Manager - BPO with the following skillset:

  • Circa 3-10 years’ working experience in a strategic Procurement environment
  • Knowledgeable in technically complex outsourcing categories, such as HR, IT or Marketing
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage and interact with wider business units and outsourced service partners
  • Have a strong analytical mind, with the ability to conduct cost:value analysis, and regularly monitor and push the delivery of BPO partners
  • Fluent German is essential - fluent English is highly advantageous
