Indirect Procurement - Process Excellence Manager

Job Description

My client, a large global business in the pharmaceutical sector, seeks an Indirect Procurement – Process Excellence Manager.

In this role, you will be responsible for transforming the S2C process, managing a large spend optimization project over 500m CHF value. This is a global project that will cross all Indirect Procurement categories and have high business impact and visibility.

You will also manage the wider transition of the Strategic Indirect Procurement organization, working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure efficient roll-out of the new structure and tools. You will establish new processes and governance for Strategic Indirect Procurement initiatives in collaboration with site leaders for procurement projects globally.

Indirect Procurement – Process Excellence Manager, Basel, Switzerland

Project management experience is highly desirable. You will be responsible for setting the governance model for the spend optimization project, managing a cross-functional team and setting and tracking project goals. You will analyse and understand company requirements and processes and create improved business processes to support current and future plans.

This is a high level position; you must be a proactive and motivated professional that can capture the attention and buy-in of various high level stakeholders across the business. This will include Procurement, Operations, Finance, Legal and Business Unit leaders. Ultimately, you will work to create best-in-class procedures to allow the efficient management of all global Indirect Procurement.

The main personal quality we are looking for is someone with a strong analytical mind and a passion for continual/process improvement.

We are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skillset:

• Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level
• Experience within Indirect Procurement – ideally within a large, advanced centralised Procurement organisation
• Strong experience within digital sourcing tools and a solid understanding of both operational and strategic procurement
• Experience within a process/business excellence project or significant procurement transformation project
• High level of PC literacy, able to organise, plan and innovate
• Strong engagement and influencing skills
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector is advantageous, but not essential - we would welcome applicants from any businesses that have a significant complexity and volume of indirect spend with a global matrix organisation
