Operational Procurement Manager

Job Description

Our client is seeking an Operational Procurement Manager to lead their operational procurement team based in Basel, Switzerland.

As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for all operational procurement activities, whilst leading the team in a senior management position, to ensure future goals and targets are met.

You will work closely with the logistics team, purchasing managers and the strategic procurement team to ensure all operational procurement activities are achieved and act as a point of escalation for operational supply chain issues.

This opportunity will require someone with a strong Procurement or Supply Chain background and proven leadership skills.  

As Operational Procurement Manager, we are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skillsets:

• Fluent English language skills - French is beneficial
• Ideally degree educated (or equivalent)
• 3 years+ in a Procurement or Supply Chain Management role; this ideally will be within a multi-national company, overseeing several direct reports
• Natural ability to work within cross-functional teams, you must have strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience of change management within your current or previous experiences is also beneficial  
• Must have strong organizational skills, with a proven track record of meeting targets and deadlines
