My client, a respected, multi-billion turnover leader within the chemical industry, is seeking a Site Manager for Engineering and Maintenance.


Engineering and Maintenance Site Manager - Geneva, Switzerland


They are searching for a strong people manager who can drive forwards and develop a large on-site E&M team. This role will suit someone who has great relationship-building skills and the desire to lead forward a well-established site.


With full ownership and direct project management responsibility, you will oversee the improvement and expansion of facility extension, and new production line integration, ensuring execution with minimal disruption to production.


You will manage the relationship with the Production leaders, and manage significant investment and CAPEX projects, while ensuring minimum disruption to production.


You will define the annual objectives for E&M over areas such as engineering projects, production capacity, critical maintenance activities, changes in equipment and spare parts inventory. Through leading a number of managers, you will coordinate all local objectives in this area.


For this Engineering and Maintenance Site Manager, we are seeking:


  • Educated to degree or equivalent level in an Engineering discipline
  • 8+ years’ experience leading Engineering (CAPEX/MRO) projects in Production
  • Previously led maintenance or CAPEX project teams to enhance sites, liaising with Production to ensure business objectives are achieved
  • Good knowledge of LSS, and process mapping and design
  • Leadership and people management experience is essential - ideally within a change management program
  • English and French at an advanced level
  • Knowledge of EHS standards and procedures
