Category Manager Indirect

Job Description

My client, in the manufacturing sector, is looking for a German-speaking Category Manager Indirect to oversee their Indirect Procurement categories globally and lead a team of buyers in their office based near Buchs.

You will manage strategic procurement globally within the Indirect category, with a focus on IT, Services and Packaging categories.

We are looking for candidates with a good foundation in global strategic procurement of indirect categories and a particular understanding of Services and Packaging in an industrial manufacturing environment.

As Category Manager Indirect, you will operate in a strategic leadership capacity, delivering cost reduction and value chain improvement programs across a wide region, through the implementation of best practice and management of Procurement activities for indirect services categories globally.

Ideally, you will have previous leadership experience and Category expertise.

We are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skillset:

• Ideally 6+ years’ experience in Procurement in a similar position covering Category Management responsibilities
• Procurement expert with experience of operating on a global scale, with a drive to deliver best-in-class purchasing methods
• Previous experience with people management is not essential but would be highly advantageous
• Fluent English is essential and German would also be highly beneficial
