Job Description

In this unique Head of Procurement – Mechanical Systems (German Speaking) position, you will be responsible for leading global strategy and project procurement within mechanical parts and systems for a leading and prestigious global manufacturer in heavy industry.

The Head of Procurement – Mechanical Systems (German Speaking) will be responsible for all spend within mechanical systems across multiple sites and projects globally within the engineering space.

The Head of Procurement – Mechanical Systems (German Speaking) will manage a team of portfolio, project-based and operational buyers contributing to long-term category strategy and project delivering.

The Head of Procurement – Mechanical Systems (German Speaking) will be a team player that can identify opportunities for collaboration, but also be a proactive leader who can unite global strategy and project teams.

For the Global Head of Procurement – Mechanical Systems (German Speaking), we are looking to speak with high calibre candidates with the following skillset:

• Experience working in an engineering production or project-based environment
• Experience of the energy, industrial engineering, transportation, mining or oil and gas sectors would be highly beneficial
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in a Procurement environment, with some prior leadership experience
• Strong coordination and strategy determination is essential
• Fluent German and working proficiency in English are essential
