GL Accountant

Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is currently looking for a GL Accountant for a leading business in Lugano.

We are keen to speak to individuals with at least three years’ experience in Accounting, who are considering their next career move.

This position will focus on monthly/year-end closing, tax compliance (VAT and Intrastat), and co-ordination with external auditors.

Responsibilities of the GL Accountant:

• Responsible for the general Accounting functions, preparing journal entries, intercompany reconciliations
• Monthly/yearly closing and audit preparation
• Fixed assets Accounting
• Tax Accounting, VAT and Intrastat compliance
• Co-ordinate external Accountants and internal shared service centre

Ideal candidate profile:

• 3+ years’ relevant experience in Accounting
• Economic/Accounting background, with demonstrated skills in Accounting and financial policies
• Hands-on knowledge with Accounting software (Abacus preferred)
