Job Description

Our global client, which is head quartered in Zurich, is currently looking for a German speaking HR Payroll Specialist to join its Human Resources team.


You will be responsible for all payroll processing, including reconciliations, auditing and additional administration tasks.  


German speaking HR Payroll Specialist, Zurich, Switzerland.


This role offers the opportunity to grow and progress into a managerial position leading the Payroll and HR Admin teams.


 Responsibilities of the HR Payroll Specialist:

  • First point of contact for employees, managers and C-suite for payroll, including salary and other payroll-associated matters
  • Follow both internal and external processes to ensure employment legislation and compliance is adhered to
  • Provide support for employees locating to the areas and assisting with the onboarding process pre-day one and post-day one
  • Initiate the onboarding process, ensuring all associated task are completed, and employees are prepared and have everything they need
  • Manage monthly payroll processing, ensuring correct policy and procedures are adhered to, including salary, deductions and bonuses are completed with third party provider
  • Contact for employees and the line in all wages, social security and taxation matters


Ideal candidate profile:

  • Our ideal candidate will have a qualification in HR/Payroll (e.g. Dipl. HR Fachfrau or Payroll Specialist) or bachelor’s in a relevant field of study
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in an operational Payroll function, preferably in an international environment in Switzerland
  • Be able to communicate confidently in German and have excellent command of spoken and written English - any other language would be an advantage
