As our client enters an exciting phase in its development, it seeks a Global Procurement Manager- Chemicals with experience implementing long-term category strategy.
It’s also looking for experience in dealing with multiple internal and external stakeholders to secure a reliable supply chain, foster product innovation, and push through pioneering best-in-class sustainability and ethical sourcing goals.
Working for a large global conglomerate, you will have significant financial responsibility with a multi-million dollar category spend contributing to a multi-billion dollar revenue stream. You will be comfortable managing high value negotiations, and have the ability to work towards financial targets and achieve cost savings across a large and technically complex category.
Global Procurement Manager- Chemicals, Zurich, Switzerland
With strong experience working within chemicals purchasing previously, you’ll manage the strategic direction for a number of direct materials categories, falling predominantly within the petrochemicals area.
As the Global Procurement Manager- Chemicals, you will have the ability to mobilise internal stakeholders and teams to achieve the Procurement goals within your category. This will include direct and indirect people management, so previous people and/or project management experience is highly desirable.
With a global team, the Global Procurement Manager- Chemicals will have strong technical Procurement skills and well developed knowledge of chemicals purchasing, in particular.
It is also essential that this candidate is a motivated self-starter who can integrate into cross-functional project teams and secure buy in from various internal stakeholders. It will therefore be advantageous is you have worked in a larger, matrix style organisation previously.
